This is the most popular style of bed base here in Spain, a move on from the simple “ tapi base “ which is just a strong , supportive bed base on legs but not particularly pleasing on the eye . The new shallow divan from the premier range is super strong , super supportive and pretty nice to look at ! The main structure of the bed is always the same with a re-in forced wooden frame , the top of the frame is always in a 3D breathable covering which allows maximum air flow through the base and up into the mattress and the base can be used with any style of mattress , pocket springing , Bonnell springing or even foam . The best thing about this bed is the flexibility in colour , fabric , leg style and headboard design should you wish to accompany the base with a stylish part at the head end check out the Premier range of headboards on the website.
Beds on legs are ideal here in Spain for many reasons , the space below the bed allows for easy cleaning underneath , perfect for using on marble or carpeted floors and highly recommended if you have a home closed up for periods of time as air flows beneath the bed preventing dampness building up below the mattress and also keeping you cooler in the hot summer months . The legs have 2 options in height . Choose the smaller chrome leg which is 10 cm in height and the overall base will be 25 cm or choose the tapered wooden legs that are 17 cm in height ( beech or white colours available ) and the bed will be 32 cm in height .
Our Premier shallow divan base has many options in colours and also can be upholstered in very stylish but practical faux – leather or in a a fabric option . The colours available are in trend colours such as duck egg blue or blush pink through to modern , contemporary colours like soft grey , taupe or warm beige or even in brilliant white or a shiny silver – the choice is yours ! Faux leather has been popular for many years as it is hard wearing and easily cleaned using a damp cloth or baby wipe but the clever fabric that we use is stain resistant having been treated with TEFLON that allows easy cleaning with just good old fashioned cloth and water ! Ideal for rental properties or for people anyone with kids or animals ! In the larger sizes ( 180 cm super king or 200 cm Emperor ) the bed bases will come as 2 x 90cm or 2 x 200 cm bases that sit together , this makes delivery easier , better support for the large mattresses in the middle section or also allows the beds to be split apart if you choose a zip and link mattress option * Please contact us for options avaliable on zip and link mattresses the beds can be used as 2 singles or a superking / Emperor size .
