Side Opening Storage Bed Base

The clever design on this convenient storage bed base means that rather than opening from the bottom, as is normal on most of the storage divans, the base is opening from the side.

This is handy for a number of reasons. The main benefit being that it will fit into unusual spaces such as bed that has to go under a slanted ceiling – such as in a loft apartment. The other great benefit from the side opening as that it is easy to access the items that have been stored inside. The traditional storage beds that are front opening work really well but if you have problems bending or leaning over then the side access may be easier to get into as all areas of the storage are with in arms reach.

A Versatile Storage Bed Base

The base is available in varying heights – 31cm, 36cm and 41cm – giving more storage space as the base gets higher.  We find that many of our older clients prefer a high base as it is easy to get both in and out of the bed when the base is higher so again we have lots of flexibility.

We love the build quality on these beds. The floor of the divan is super strong so will store an impressive amount of items and the pistons make opening and closing the lid very simple. The manufacturers have a fantastic selection of materials with a colour palette to suit all.  We also have the option that if you prefer a fabric which is not in the manufacturers catalogue, providing it is suitable for upholstery, we can also have your bed and even matching headboard made in your own material or from one of the 1000’s of materials that we have in swatch books in store!

The Perfect Bed Base for the Perfect Bedroom

We have many options in handles and feet,  an option to have the base to the floor with a special seal to stop dust getting underneath and also a moving system can be added if you wish to move the bed from time to time, to clean underneath. Notice that the lid of the base is covered in the same fabric as the base, again this is an optional extra but only costs 20€ plus IVA and we think you will agree that it finishes the bed off to a high standard.
